After gaining a first class honours degree in Mathematics at Nottingham University, Yvonne passed her ICAEW exams and decided to specialise in tax, becoming a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation in 1978. She has worked as a Tax Manager at Woolford & Co. since 1991. Prior to this, Yvonne worked for Touche Ross in Manchester and Leeds, Rawlinson and Hunter, and Bullimores in Surrey. Her tax knowledge is very broad and she has dealt with all the major taxes affecting individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts and non-resident landlords. Yvonne has negotiated with HM Revenue & Customs in connection with investigations and enquiries and has achieved a satisfactory outcome in disputes. She advises clients on the tax implications of proposed transactions and deals with tax compliance requirements, including complex personal tax returns. Yvonne has extensive knowledge of the firm's tax compliance software and HM Revenue & Customs' online services. She processes a large, complex payroll where workarounds are often required.
